Fake and low-grade shilajit is common in the market, so knowing how to verify authenticity matters. The single most reliable step is to ask the seller for a certificate of analysis (COA) from an accredited, independent lab. A legitimate COA will show the fulvic acid percentage and a full heavy-metal panel (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium). If a seller cannot or will not provide one, treat the product with caution.
